There is not the slightest doubt in asserting the fact that cats are the most wonderful animals of all. They are indeed man’s best friend in the same way as dogs are. The cats are loyal and comparatively cleaner than other animals.
There are different cat breeds which have evolved through the course of history through natural evolution as well as through the genetic engineering processes. Many new and evolved forms of cat breeds have been produced through the processes of selective breeding. So, below is the list of Top 10 Cat Breeds which would help in the selection of the particular cat that would suit your residential house environment.

Dogs are better than cats in my own opinion
yes agree, we just made a list, you can keep these cats on your house…
sand cats are wild desert cats, probably not good (or legal) for your house.
The BEST cat breed of all bar none is one you rescue from you local shelters. Let’s put those bloodsucking breeders out of business.
I agree completely!!! These are all beautiful cats, but there are so very many beautiful, loving cats & kittens in shelters now that need loving homes.
PLEASE: If you want to adopt a cat, go to your local shelter or rescue group NOT a breeder. Make sure to have your pet (cat OR dog) spayed/neutered as well to prevent more animals ending up in shelters or euthanised.
Sand Cats can prove to be good for the protection of the house and are not so dangerous as speculated by people today. They are totally misunderstood——————— what say
Bengal Cats should have been in this list. They are great! And, mine IS a rescue cat from our local cat shelter. Plus he was 9 years old when I got him. He’s got a few irritating issues, but nothing unlivable, or that can’t be stopped with time and patience. I believe he was neglected in his former home, and that’s the reason for the minor issues.
There are six cats on this list that should not be bred as house pets. The Persian has breathing issues due to the flattened nose. The Scottish fold has the folded ears because of a cartilage deformity that negatively affects the rest of the body. The Ashera is a scam it does not exist the picture here is of a Savannah cat. The manx lacks a tail because of a skeletal deformity, they tend to have spine problems. The Sand Cat is an endangered wild animal, if you try to bring it in your house it will spray and destroy anything it can get its claws on. The Toyger is not something I would recommend because of the price. The Turkish Angora, Ragdoll, Abyssinian, and American Shorthair are healthy breeds. What should definitely be on this list though is the Maine Coon; a big cat that is tolerant of other pets and children. For those who want a wild cat, the Bengal is a cross between the Asian leopard cat and domestic cat. The best choice is any cat you find in a shelter; affordable, and you are saving a cat in the process.
I absolutely agree with you. Perhaps a better title for this would be top ten most attractive cats. But temperment? No, I can tell you Manx cats are great farm cats being good hunters but are aggressive (perhaps not good for small children), Persians and Angoras shed like mad and the poor Persians suffer not unlike Pugs. The wild crossbreeds also have in-house issues.
I personally love the Abyssinian, having had a wonderful one for eight years who acted more like a dog than my dog. Perhaps a Ragdoll would be my next.
All cats have their own personality but there are markers present in each breed for temperment (like dogs).
And both my cats were rescue animals, too.
I’ve had two Turkish angoras and they were both fairly hostile. Not to say they were vicious they just were very temperamental.
