Terry Ginis, I often find it amusing when people(such as yourself) seemingly go out of their way to try and prove their intelligence or knowledge on a particular subject matter(or lack there of), by down talking someone else.. Its especially amusing when said people happen to be just as wrong or misinformed themselves, if not more so than the initial informer.. Your uneducated, ignorant ramblings or "help" as you called it, are even less factual than the initial misinformation on this page! While i agree that this entire page is extremely misleading and largely based on one's misinformed opinion rather than fact, your post wasnt much better.. It also appears to me that the creator of this post is not American and is most likely why none of the paragraphs are gramatically correct or read with any fluidity.. To correct your "corrections"; #10 is NOT a Meikong Catfish! The picture is in fact of a small Vundu Catfish.. Ill be it, the information provided is not very accurate and speculative at best, it is the correct fish.. #4 is NOT a Payara! A Payara is a relative of the piranha and is also known as the "Vampire Fish" for its very 2 distinguishable and enormous lower jaw fangs that can grow up to 6" long! The fish shown in the picture is an Arapima(excuse the spelling) and absolutely CAN grow to 10 feet in length! However, once again the description is very misleading and extremely inaccurate.. While Arapima have been known to cause major injury and even suspected death, most often to boaters and people on canoes, due to their defensive response to leap from the water when disturbed.. And being such massively heavy fish with a rock hard skull bone, armored skutes and a massive fan like tail, impact with an unsuspecting human from one of these leaping giants can cause an incredible amount of damage.. Some speculate that any deaths that may have occured probably resulted when a person without a floatation device is struck by the fish and is subsequently knocked unconscious and ends up drownding as a result.. But the statement about Arapima eating humans whole while theye still alive is absolutely ludacris and 110% false! Arapima have relatively small mouths for the overall size of their bodies and even when full grown, would have trouble fitting an adult human hand in their mouths, nevermind swallowing a person whole.. And they simply do not have typical predatious fish's teeth, but rather small, gripping teeth.. So devouring a human while still alive by chomping it to bits isnt possible either.. And last, but certainly not least cuz it firmly demonstrates just how uneducated on fish you truly are, Terry.. #1 a Whale Shark!? Are you kidding me!? Have you ever seen a freaking whale shark before!? Theyre MASSIVE!!! Ive never seen a whale shark small enough for a man to hold it up for a snap shot, seeing how whale shark pups are larger than a full grown beef cattle at birth, over 2000lbs!!! The picture is in fact of a "Devil Catfish" also known as the Goonch Catfish and is debatably the ONLY fish on this list realistically capable of comsuming a human being.. Theyre truly biological wonders and should be revered, respected and protected.. Not saught after as some monster and hunted to extinction, which theyre dangerously close to being.. And because theyre not a cute, cuddly Panda Bear, not as many people care about saving it.. Moral of the story Terry, THINK before you make some assinine post degrading someone else's hard work, just to make yourself appear to be all knowing to someone that obviously doesnt know any better.. Im surprised after 11 months im the first one thats put you in check.. And while i have certainly voiced my disagreements with the information on this page, i havent disrespected the creator in any way that i know of.. And if i have, my apologies.. But the creator of this page should do some more research and not add so many unfactual opinions and speculations next time around.. Just a suggestion.. And to end with your own words that are oh so ironic to repeat to you, Terry; "The number one rule is get your facts straight before you show how ignorant you are.". Haha maybe take a little bit of your own advice next time there Terry :)

WOW! Hello Terry.
Well knowledge is a wonderful gift and it makes for intelligence but if your going to teach someone, you should also try and acquire some respect and patience when choosing your words. Without these your knowledge is wasted in rudeness.

I don't know who put this list together-but they obviously have little knowledge of fish. Let me help-#10 is a Mekong catfish, which lives in SE Aisa and is a vegetarian (so obviously is not a "Congo Killer"), #4 is a Payara, it does not grow to be 10 ft long-the largest are about 40lbs-they don't eat people by the way, and your #1 fish is a Whale Shark-not even a catfish, but a plankton feeder that lives not in India-but in the ocean. The fish that was caught in India was a Goonch catfish (161 lbs)-that Jeremy caught in season one. I understand a few errors-but please, it was a total waste of time to even put this here. The number one rule is to get your facts straight before you show how ignorant you are.
